- The tools to be likely used:
- Ceramic glue | Special ceramic tile cutter | Spacer | Cement | Paving spade | Glue trimming spade Special ceramic glue is recommended for the tiles
- Measure the area of the wall surface / ground, then calculate the quantity of tiles needed according to your layout.
- The quantity of tiles required shall be 10% more than the actual area of the wall and ground to be paved.
- Note: This kind of tiles is suitable for ground. The people may slip and fall on wet polishing tiles, to be careful.
- The ceramic tiles having been paved must be clean before using tile dipping machine / sealing machine, in case the wall surface / ground finished paving become dirty. The machine must be used according to operating instruction.
- Instruction on tile paving:
- The paving quality of ceramic tiles is based greatly on paving method, so that correct paving way must be followed carefully.
- The product quality conforms to GB/T4100.1-1999 national standard.
- 1. Before unpacking, please check the type, dimensions and color of the tiles and other things. The tiles in same type shall be used at same place. The tiles in different types shall not be mixed together (except for special decorating effect).
- 2. The wall and ground shall be prepared well before pavement. The tiles shall be arranged according to the paving pattern. If there are directive patterns, the tiles shall be paved according to the direction shown on the drawing so as to get the best decorative effect.
- 3. When paving tiles in trial, fix two wires vertical each other on the ground and keep the wires in level with level bar. The vertical wires on the wall surface shall be made according to plumb line.
- 4. 225# cement mortar is recommended for the tiles. 525# pure cement and ceramic tile adhesive shall be mixed evenly for paving ceramic tiles. The ceramic tiles shall be soaked completely in water before paving. Other tiles need not to be soaked completely.
- 5. Mark the lines according to the tile dimensions. Mortar joint shall be preserved in advance when marking the lines as follows: External wall tile: 3mm; Internal wall tile: 1.5mm; Stone line tile: 5-15mm, with the purpose to avoid crowning of tiles due to different thermal expansion ratio between cement and ceramic tiles.
- 6. During paving tiles, fill in the tile joints with the mortar and scratch flat the joints. The jointing must be careful, particularly on the external wall. Proper quantity of colorful additive may be added into mortar for jointing.
- 7. When paving the tiles at the main corners, put about 1 cm thick mortar on ground, then put the tile on the mortar. Tap slightly with wooden hammer on tile until the tile is stuck on the mortar and the tile shall be vertical or parallel to the wires. When the mortar is a bit dry, put some sawdust or fine sands on tile surface to remove residue mortar.
- 8. When paving wall tiles, tap the tile repeatedly with hammer handle until it is stuck on the mortar.
- 9. When paving wall tiles, wipe off the cement or other stains on the tiles while paving so as to keep tile surface completely clean.
- 10. After 12 hours after paving, check the tile surface with hammer to see if empty sound can be heard. If so, the tile with empty sound shall be taken out and paved again.
- 11. When the tiles have been paved for 24 hours, people can step on the tiles and clean the tiles. Clean the tiles completely with clean water mixed with some detergent. You will see bright ground and wall. If the tiles are covered by stains unable to be wiped off, clean the tiles with steel wire ball.
- 12. If you are suspicious on the product quality or are not satisfied on the tiles during paving, please suspend the paving work for the moment (The warranty is invalid if the tiles have been paved.). Please contact immediately the authorized dealer of our Company in your place.
- In order to keep the tiles clean during transportation and paving, all tiles have been treated against staining before delivery. Clean the tiles with shrinkage water or detergent, then wipe clean the tiles with clean rag in case the people slip and fall. The tiles are featured with smooth and bright surface, very low water absorption, strong, good acid resistant and alkali resistant, good wear resistant. They are suitable for internal wall, external wall and ground.
- Please refer to following process when paving the tiles with special surface pattern (such as: carpet \ linen \ Golf series etc.)
- 1. Ground cleaning
- 2. Cement mortar leveling.
- 3. Finishing other works (water and electricity, brick work, wood work, paint etc.). Selecting tiles for trial paving.
- 4. Ceramic glue shall be used in paving tiles.
- 5. The ceramic tile edge shall be covered by protective film for joints, then jointing.
- 6. Cleaning ceramic tiles.
